How to Target Advertising to YouTube Channels
Advertising your product or service on relevant YouTube video channels will raise the profile of your business and help you to reach the right audience. YouTube allows advertisers to target specific video clips and specific video channels with text, image and rich media-based adverts. YouTube is part of Google, so you will need a Google AdWords account to place the ad on your preferred YouTube channels.

Launch your Web browser and go to the YouTube Video Targeting Tool login page at Google.com.

Sign in with the same username and password that you use for your Google AdWords account. If you don’t already have an account, create one by navigating to Adwords.google.com and clicking the “Start Now” or "Try AdWords Now" buttons. You need to provide your name, contact details and a valid form of payment, such as a credit card or debit card, to fund the advertising.

Type the name of the YouTube video channel on which you want to place your ads into the Search input box. If you’d prefer to choose from a list of relevant YouTube video channels, type relevant keywords into the Search input box.

Click the “Add” button beside each YouTube channel to add it to your advertising campaign. Your ad will appear on each of the selected channels.

Click the “Buy” button. This exports the YouTube channel selections to your Google AdWords account. Google will charge your account each time a visitor clicks on a YouTube ad.

- You can also advertise on individual YouTube videos in addition to YouTube channels. Follow the same procedure, but click the “Add” button beside the individual video clips to add them to your advertising campaign.
- After you've selected the YouTube channels and exported them to Google AdWords, use the AdWords settings to set a maximum daily budget for the ad.
