How to Do a Print Screen & Paste in Gmail
When pressed, the "Print Screen" key takes a picture of what is on your desktop. You can then paste this picture into a variety of programs and services, such as Gmail. If you want to show others what's on your desktop, you can use the "Print Screen" key and email them the picture; this is useful when you want to show an IT employee the exact error you are encountering, allowing them to better solve your problem. You paste the picture you take with the "Print Screen" key into a Gmail message the same way you would paste anything into Gmail.
-
1.
Press the "Print Screen" key to take a picture of your desktop.
-
2.
Launch Gmail and compose a new message.
-
3.
Right-click any open area in the body of the message.
-
4.
Select "Paste" from the pop-up menu. After a few seconds, the picture you took with the "Print Screen" key is pasted directly into the Gmail message.
-
5.
Type your message either above or below the image. Click "Send" to send your message and picture to the recipient.
Tips
- The "Print Screen" key will take a picture of everything currently on your screen; make sure no sensitive information is onscreen when you take or send the picture.
