How to Open Open Office Documents in Word
OpenOffice is a free, open-source alternative to Microsoft's Office software suite. Using OpenOffice may save your business money, but if your company has already installed Microsoft Office, you can use Office programs to edit OpenOffice files. Office has supported OpenOffice's native OpenDocument format since releasing a Service Pack update for Office 2007. You can set Windows to edit OpenOffice files with Microsoft Word to make use of Word's advanced features, such as integrating with Microsoft Excel and Access.
