How to Enable & Disable an HP Touchpad
The touchpad on your HP laptop may be practical for everyday use, but your work may require something with more precision and control. If you want to use an external mouse or pointing device, you may want to disable the touchpad when you're not using it. Disabling the touchpad can prevent unwanted cursor movement if your hand moves across it. HP laptops are equipped with Synaptics touchpad drivers, which allow you to enable, disable and customize various touchpad settings.
