How to Draw a Red Dot in Photoshop
Adobe Photoshop CS5 has several different tools that allow you to accomplish simple tasks such as drawing a red dot in a variety of ways. The tools available for creating a red dot in Photoshop CS5 include the Brush, Shape and Text tools. Try each tool to determine which produces the desired effect for your project.

Select the desired shade of red. Click the "Color" button on the right menu bar or press "F6." Select a color on the palette and click the tool again to close it.

Use a brush. Click the Brush tool on the left menu bar or press "B." Click Window at the top of the screen and select Brush below, or press "F5." Select a brush with a round tip, then click the image once to draw a red dot.

Create a shape. Click the Shape tool on the left menu bar or press "U." Click the elliptical shape on the top menu bar, then click the downward-facing arrow to display the tool's options. Select the Circle radio button. Position the mouse pointer over the image and hold the mouse button down while dragging down and to the right to create the dot. Release the mouse button when the dot reaches the desired size.

Use text. Click the Text tool on the left menu bar or press "T." Select the desired font and text size using the drop-down menus at the top of the window. Click the colored rectangle at the top of the window, select the desired shade of red and click "OK." Click the image where you want the dot to appear and press the "." key.
