How to Activate Bluetooth on a Dell Laptop
Many Dell business laptop computers come with support for the Bluetooth personal area networking protocol. In addition to letting you connect an earbud wirelessly to your cellular phone, Bluetooth also works with your laptop computer. You can connect devices like keyboards, mice and headsets over Bluetooth so that you can be more productive when you are working away from your office. In addition, you can share files between your computer and some Bluetooth-equipped smartphones without needing to use a sync cable. Dell laptops that include a Bluetooth radio make it very easy to use their Bluetooth functionality.

1.
Press your Dell laptop's "Power" button to turn it on and wait for it to finish booting up.

2.
Slide your laptop's hardware Bluetooth switch to the "On" position, if your computer has one.
-
3.

Look for a blue icon with a stylized "B" in your system tray. If it appears, your Bluetooth radio is on.
